Legendary French designer and innovator, Pierre Cardin after graduating as an architect, started his fashion designer career after the Second World War under the guidance of the renowned master in the field, Christian Dior. In 1950, he sets up his own fashion house and three years later becomes a member of the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. In 1959, he enters history and conceives the revolutionary idea of a ready to wear collection (Pret à porter), bringing high fashion to the general public.
